Matthew
D. Gimre, M.D. graduated from Masssachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and earned his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Gimre completed a three-year residency in family practice at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illnois, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
A nonsurgical sports medicine and orthopaedic specialist, Dr. Gimre has extensive experience evaluating and treating athlethes at the high school, college and professional levels. His conservative orthopaedic expertise encompasses a wide range of musculoskeletal and athletic injuries and conditions experienced by patients of all ages.
Dr. Gimre is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and earned a Certificate
of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine through
the American Board of Family Practice. He joined OAD in 2001 and is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
