Anup A. Bendre, M.D. graduated from the University of Illinois in 1995 with Bachelor of Science degrees in bioengineering and psychology. Dr. Bendre went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine in 1999. He completed a five-year residency in orthopaedic surgery at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in 2004; followed by a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at the Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis in 2005.
Dr. Bendre has special interests in arthroscopy, reconstruction, and replacement surgery of traumatic and arthritic conditions of the elbow, wrist, and hand; as well as peripheral nerve and vascular disorders of the upper extremity. Dr. Bendre is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Bendre joined OAD Orthopaedics in September 2005 and maintains medical staff privileges at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
