BILLING DEPARTMENT - INSURANCE
As a convenience to our patients, we participate in
many different insurance plans/networks. Prior to, or
at the time of your office visit, please provide us with
appropriate, current/valid insurance carrier information,
including applicable claim forms and valid referrals.
Fees for surgical procedures are billed directly to the
insurance company by our Billing Department.
OAD's physicians are participating providers for Medicare,
and as a result, we will bill Medicare and any secondary
insurance carrier on your behalf. OAD accepts Medicare
We strongly recommend that patients contact their insurance
carrier/network Member Services Representative prior to
scheduling appointments/services to confirm benefit coverage.
We always welcome patients out-of-network, but want to
ensure that your insurance carrier provides you with the
benefits' information you deserve to make optimal healthcare
decisions. Patients often discover that out-of-network
coverage is not financially burdensome.

If OAD does not receive full payment after 90 days
from the date of service, OAD may begin adding
interest to the balance at a rate of 1.5% per month,
or the highest rate allowed by law, on all amounts
due and owing to OAD. In this event, interest shall
accrue from the date of service. Acceptance of late
or partial payments (even if marked "paid in
full") shall not waive any of OAD's rights
to collect the full amount due. In addition to the
foregoing, the patient shall pay OAD's costs and
attorney's fees incurred in collecting any overdue
amounts from the patient.
OAD Orthopaedics is now part of Cadence Physician Group. For services beginning November 1, 2012 you will see statements from Cadence Physician Group. You will also start to see our new name on the explanation of benefits from your insurance company. Please make your checks payable to the name indicated on the statement you are paying. For questions on billing, please call the number listed on the statement you receive. Staff is ready to assist you.
