November 2007
Dr. Lenard LaBelle and Dr. David Watt passed the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Subspecialty Certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. Nationally, fewer than 600 surgeons took this inaugural examination; to qualify , physicians were required to submit a minimum of 115 sports medicine operative cases from a 12-month period. Congratulations to Doctors LaBelle and Watt on this significant achievement and credential!
March 2008
Richard Makowiec, M.D., a fellowship-trained, Hand, Upper Extremity and Microvascular Specialist, joins OAD. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand, Dr. Makowiec specializes in hand, wrist and elbow injuries and conditions.

Vinita Mathew, M.D., Physiatrist/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist, joins OAD.

Dr. Mathew specializes in the evaluation and nonsurgical management of disorders of musculoskeletal system, with interests in occupational medicine, sports injuries, and spine care. She performs lumbar epidural steroid, sacroiliac, facet, peripheral and trigger point injections, in addition to conducting EMG and nerve conduction velocity testing.
Summer 2008

OAD’s new Naperville medical office building opens at 101 East 75th Street.  A full-service medical facility, OAD’s new Naperville location will meet the ever-increasing orthopaedic needs of Naperville, Bolingbrook, Woodridge, Plainfield, and other nearby communities.  In addition to OAD’s orthopaedic specialty care, the Naperville location provides diagnostic imaging, on-site MRI, physical and occupational therapy services.
