OAD HISTORY

OAD Orthopaedics, often affectionately referred to by its patients and staff as "OAD," had its origins in 1981 as a solo practice founded by Douglas B. Mains, M.D. Dr. Mains founded not only the medical practice, but in 1972 he established Mona Kea Medical Park that previously housed OAD's main facility. Dr. Mains was a pioneer in joint replacement surgery and retired from OAD in 1999.
