Important to know...

  • Registration, insurance verification and precertification completed by DOSC staff prior to the procedure date. Always have your valid health insurance card(s)/information available.
  • Preoperative instructions provided by DOSC nurses and staff. Please obey these instructions to avoid a canceled procedure.
  • Postoperative recovery rooms appointed for close monitoring, personalized care, and comfort.
  • Postoperative instructions furnished by DOSC clinicians to ensure patient recuperation and a timely return to activities of daily life. Following these instructions is critical to optimum recovery.

Day of Surgery

Do:

  • Arrange for someone to drive you home after your procedure
  • Bring a storage case if you must wear eyeglasses or contact lenses

Don't:

  • Wear jewelry or bring valuables
  • Wear nail polish

If you experience problems related to your procedure during at-home recovery, please contact your surgeon's/physician's office at (630) 225-BONE (2663). For emergencies, seek care at a local hospital's emergency department.
